Facility Operations Manager - Próspera

Position Summary

As the Facility Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our properties. You will organize and build a high-performing team, establish and maintain systems and processes, track and report on financials, and be accountable for the overall cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of attracting and retaining top talent, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to operate efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership & Management

    • Recruit, hire, and retain A-player maintenance, cleaning, and landscaping staff.

    • Provide consistent coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to ensure strong team engagement and minimal turnover.

    • Establish a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across all staff.

  2. Operational Oversight

    • Develop, implement, and refine systems and processes to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of all facilities.

    • Schedule and oversee routine and preventative maintenance to ensure facilities operate at the highest standard.

    • Manage third-party vendors and service providers as needed, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

  3. Financial Management & Reporting

    • Track operational expenses and manage department budgets, ensuring compliance with financial targets.

    • Bill appropriate cost centers accurately and maintain transparent financial reporting.

    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or safety.

  4. Facility Maintenance & Safety

    • Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with local regulations.

    • Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation procedures.

    • Monitor and improve the security, cleanliness, and aesthetics of all facilities through clear standards and regular inspections.

  5. Continuous Improvement

    • Implement best-in-class facilities management practices, embracing technology and innovation where beneficial.

    • Measure and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve service levels and operational efficiencies.

    • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and techniques to ensure our facilities are managed at an exceptional level.

  6. Stakeholder Communication

    • Serve as the primary liaison between facilities operations and other departments or leadership teams.

    • Provide clear, regular updates on facilities projects, budgets, and operational status to management and relevant stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate and address facilities-related needs.

    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to create and manage budgets, monitor cost centers, and analyze spending.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance.

    • Adept at implementing systems, processes, and technology solutions that streamline facility operations.

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

    • Proactive problem-solver with a keen attention to detail and high standards for quality and performance.
